If you are passionate about your local community, we need you. Councillors make a huge difference to the quality of life of local people and how local issues are dealt with. We need people from all ages, backgrounds and experiences, who reflect the communities they serve, to come forward. Please see the attached document for more information.
Following the recent resignation of Dominic Grigg, we have a vacancy for a Councillor to join Appleford-on-Thames Parish Council.
This councillor vacancy will be filled by a process called co-option. We are now inviting applications from local people to join us.
How to apply
To apply, please send a letter of application to the Parish Clerk at clerk@appleford-pc.gov.uk by end of Friday 20 February or post/hand deliver to the Clerk’s at: 4 Chambrai Close, Appleford, OX14 4NT. In your letter you may wish to include your connection to the parish, why you want to be a parish councillor and what skills / experience you can bring to the Council. Applications will be looked at by Councillors and voted on at a meeting of the Full Council on Monday 9 March at 8pm, in Appleford Village Hall. You will be invited to attend and say a few words to the Councillors.
